Equilibrium was at the Bright Business Conference yesterday in Halifax at the WTCC. This was hosted by Efficiency NS.
Tomorrow (October 24th) Efficiency NS is hosting the inaugural Bright Business Conference from 9:00 am – 5:00 pm at the Halifax World Trade Convention Centre (brightbusinessns.ca).
In the afternoon there are break-out sessions, and Equilibrium Engineering will be presenting the following topics:
Energy Management Planning and Education – 2:30pm
Who’s Driving Your Organization’s Energy Mandate?
Today’s organizations need to leverage their employee’s skillsets and creative solutions toward energy management. Management teams who provide their employees with an energy management plan have a proven track record of success resulting in lower operational costs. This session will highlight that energy management planning and employee education can often reduce energy costs more than installing the “sexy” technologies.
Integrated Design Process – New Construction – 4:00pm
Peter Polley of Polycorp and William Marshall of Equilibrium Engineering will host a discussion about the benefits of the integrated design process used for Polycorp’s new Q Loft condos. The discussion will look at the process of designing a high performance, LEED ® certified building from both the owner and the consultant’s perspectives, and will cover such topics as energy modeling, integrating renewable technologies and grey water heat recovery systems.
Hope to see some of you there.
