Stefan Tylak M.Sc.

Stefan has studied in several countries and obtained his Master of Science in Renewable Energy from Murdoch University in Western Australia. Along with delivery of RETScreen® training in Brazil, he has expanded his perspective through international study and work.

Stefan was Efficiency Nova Scotia’s first embedded Energy Adviser and managed HRM's first corporate, net-metered PV installations with almost 100 energy efficiency projects for municipal facilities and infrastructure. While playing a key role in Canada’s first successful PACE financing program during its development and through to completion of the pilot, almost 400 solar water heaters were installed under Halifax’s innovative, award-winning Solar City pilot program.

Over 10 years in renewable energy and efficiency, education and program development has offered Stefan broad and deep experience after working in non-profit, private industry, provincial and municipal government coast to coast, academia and indigenous communities.

One of Stefan’s favourite quotes is that “Nature provides a free lunch, but only if we control our appetites.”
