LEED® Energy Modelling
Buenos Aires, Argentina
Located in Garin, a province of Buenos Aires, Plaza Logistica Tortugas, is a 365,000 sf collection of industrial office space and warehouse space. This building was constructed to LEED standards and is presently in review for certification under USGBC’s LEED 2009: Core & Shell Development.
Equilibrium Engineering was contracted for the evaluation of the energy design of the building against ASHRAE 90.1 2007 minimal standards. An evaluation was performed using the eQuest energy modelling software, which examined the interactive energy effects of all the architectural, mechanical and electrical systems. Upon submission, under LEED credit EAc1, the building was eligible for 14 points based on the results of the energy model.
